U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln today introduced Judge Price Marshall at his confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Judge Marshall has been nominated to fill a federal judiciary vacancy in the Eastern District of Arkansas.

"Judge Price Marshall has enjoyed an impressive and lengthy legal career in Arkansas, where he has served as a judge on the Arkansas Court of Appeals since 2006," Lincoln said.

"I have heard from dozens of Arkansans from across the legal and business community who support Judge Marshall's nomination. He is well-known in Arkansas as a gifted appellate advocate, brilliant legal mind and a well-respected man of integrity.

"In my judgment, Judge Marshall possesses the intellect, the capabilities and the character to carry out the duties of a U.S. District Judge, and would well-represent the State of Arkansas and our country in this capacity."

"I appreciate this committee scheduling a hearing promptly," Judge Marshall said. "I thank my friends Sens. Pryor and Lincoln for their generous introductions, and I thank the President for nominating me. I appreciate the committee's time, and I am blessed to have my family and dear friends here with me today."

Judge Marshall has been married to his wife, Polly Pickett Marshall, for 22 years and they have two daughters, Adison (15) and Lara Harden (13).
