Congressman Pascrell's Statement Following The U.S. Senate's Passage Of The Health Insurance Reform Bill

Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-8) today released the following statement in reaction to the U.S. Senate's passage of the health insurance reform bill.

"Today is a major step forward in the historic undertaking to make affordable, quality health care available to all Americans," said Pascrell, a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and its subcommittee on health. "Having choice and competition is the American way. This means that one or two insurance companies writing policies in most states will come to an end. Welcome to capitalism -- and then end of monopoly.
I look forward to working with my Congressional colleagues in combining the House and Senate bills and making health insurance reform a reality in America."
