With just a few weeks until the special election for the 23rd congressional district, candidates are out campaigning harder than ever.

Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman opened an office in Watertown Saturday morning. He spoke with campaign volunteers and answered questions about his stance on certain issues, including abortion, healthcare, and government spending. Hoffman says it was a chance to rally his troops.

"To give them the inspiration to get out there and do all the work they need to do in the next few weeks because it's going to be a very, very hectic two weeks to get the election done and to get the word out that Doug Hoffman is the right candidate for this election," said Doug Hoffman, Conservative candidate for the 23rd Congressional District.

Hoffman is running against Republican Dede Scozzafava and Democrat Bill Owens. The election will be held November third.
