Congressman McCarthy Cosponsors Bill To Prevent Tarp Recipients From Providing Financial Assistance To ACORN

Today, Congressman Kevin McCarthy co-sponsored a bill that will prevent TARP bailout recipients from providing financial assistance to ACORN, as well as require that they report to Congress any direct or indirect assistance that they have provided ACORN or any ACORN affiliate within the last 12 months.

Congressman Kevin McCarthy issued the following statement:

"It's imperative that Congress continue to support legislation that promotes fiscal accountability and transparency to root out wasteful spending. That's why I've continued to support and vote for common sense legislation that protects Americans from wasteful ACORN funding, like this common-sense bill."
