Statement On The Anniversary Of The Attacks Of Sept. 11, 2001

U.S. Rep. Dave Camp released the following statement on the anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001:

“Today, we honor and remember those who lost their lives in the events of September 11, 2001. I extend my deepest sympathies to the friends, families, and loved ones of the victims of that tragic day, and thank the first responders, law enforcement personnel and volunteers for their selfless service on behalf of their fellow Americans. Today, we too pay tribute to those who continue to serve in faraway countries to protect us and the freedoms we hold so dear, risking their lives to keep us safe from those who continue to plot against us. If it weren't for their heroics and the sacrifices of the soldiers who came before them, we would not be able to enjoy our freedoms of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
