Congressman Paul Hodes Praises TAA Assistance For Ethan Allen Employees

Congressman Paul Hodes released the following statement after the US Department of Labor announced it would grant TAA assistance for laid off Ethan Allen workers. Congressman Hodes wrote to US Labor Secretary Hilda Solis on June 30, 2009 requesting the assistance. The grant would help about 450 workers from two different Ethan Allen plants.

"I am pleased the US Department of Labor granted this request. The closing of these plants will adversely affect these communities and this assistance will help unemployed families as they look to transition to new employment."
