Congressman Jackson Reacts To The U.S. Supreme Court's 5-4 Decision To Repeal Washington DC's Ban On Handguns

"I am disappointed in the Supreme Court's ruling which comes at a time when many of our communities are reeling from the violence, death, and destruction caused by handguns. The Constitution guarantees a right to bear arms, but its preamble also insures domestic tranquility. We must redouble our efforts to protect our families and communities by implementing reasonable, common-sense restrictions on guns that pass constitutional muster."
