Today, the endorsement caucus of the California Democratic Party met and voted on all Democratic candidates for Congressional District 10. With a vote of over 52% of the delegates, members of the California Democratic Party overwhelmingly supported Mark DeSaulnier for Congress over the other Democrats in the race, including Joan Buchanan and John Garamendi.
"I am very honored and humbled to receive such strong support from the California Democratic Party," State Senator Mark DeSaulnier said. "I am proud to be a Democrat and to have spent my time in public service standing up against special interests and fighting for health care for all, clean air and water, and better wages and benefits for working families. When I am in Congress I will work with President Obama to pass universal health care, create jobs, and end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan."
DeSaulnier, a Democrat, has been endorsed by Congressman George Miller, Assemblyman Tom Torlakson, over a dozen local labor unions and over two dozen local elected officials. To view a complete list of Senator Mark DeSaulnier's endorsements for Congress, please click here.
