Congressman Shadegg Votes to Continue Military Support for Israel

Shadegg: "The United States has consistently stood with Israel and will continue to stand with free democracies, whether they are in the Middle East or elsewhere."

Congressman John Shadegg issued the following statement in support of Foreign Aid Bill passage today:

"Today, I voted for the Foreign Aid Bill in support of Israel. The United States has consistently stood with Israel and will continue to stand with free democracies, whether they are in the Middle East or elsewhere.

"Radical Islamists that seek to hurt America and our allies are the greatest threat our world has seen. Recent events in Gaza remind us the Israeli's harbor little security and are subject to utter violence, rocket and suicide attacks at the will of terrorists. It's no secret these horrific activities are sponsored primarily by Iran.

"Iran has come closer than any of us would like to acquiring nuclear weapons and North Korea has done nothing but test our tolerance and patience in recent weeks - their action threatening to Americans both at home and abroad.

"Israel can not go it alone. Today, I was proud to stand with Israel as Congress pledged its continued support now and in the future."
