Rogers' Views On First 100 Days Of Presidency

Statement

Date: April 28, 2009
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers, MI-08, released the following statement this afternoon on the historic presidency of Barack Obama, which tomorrow reaches 100 days:

"While we may disagree along the way on exactly how to restore the economy and help Michigan families get back on their feet, I look forward to working with President Obama on bipartisan issues such as ‘cash for clunkers' to get older less fuel-efficient cars off the road, health reform that improves access to quality, affordable health care, and preventing a terrorist safe haven in the Afghanistan/Pakistan border region.

"Every Republican, Democrat and Independent wants America to succeed. The challenges we face are too great to be viewed through a partisan lens."
