ARKANSAS MEMBERS ANNOUNCE FUNDING FOR MID-DELTA HEALTH SYSTEMS
U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and Representative Marion Berry (AR-01) today announced that Mid-Delta Health Systems, Inc. located in Clarendon, AR, will receive a grant of $50,000 from the USDA Rural Development program. The funds will be used to purchase new X-ray equipment that will link to Mid-Delta's current electronic health record system. The equipment will allow staff to access charts and X-rays without having to maintain folders, enabling them to offer better service to their clients.
"Electronic health records can help improve accuracy and efficiency in the health care system, and I'm pleased to see Mid-Delta Health System receive these funds. I remain committed to ensuring that our state receives the assistance and support it needs to provide high-quality health care for all Arkansans," said Lincoln.
"Improving access to health care in the Delta means ensuring we have adequate equipment in place," said Pryor. "This x-ray machine brings us a major step forward toward improving medical services for Arkansas residents."
"As our country attempts to improve our health care system, this new x-ray machine is one step we are taking locally to ensure Arkansans continue to have access to improved medical services," said Berry. "This funding will provide the facility with a new resource to ensure their patients receive high-quality, effective health care."
