Government-Run Health Care Provisions Remain in "Stimulus" Bill

"For all its faults, perhaps the most shameful provision in the non-stimulus bill is the creation of a national health care rationing board," said Rep. Price. "Congressional Democrats are using the cover of an economic crisis to advance an agenda that will destroy the doctor-patient relationship and set us on a course for government-administered health care. A Congress that operates in such a devious manner on such an important issue should not be entrusted with the health of American families. The American people have no interest in handing personal medical decisions over to the federal government, and we will continue to fight this bureaucratic and dangerous scheme."
