KINGSTON MARKS SEVENTH ANNIVERSARY OF SEPTEMBER 11TH
As the nation prepares to mark the seventh anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Congressman Jack Kingston (R/GA-1) released the following statement:
"On September 11, 2001, we witnessed the depth of hatred when nineteen individuals sought to bring our Nation to its knees," Congressman Kingston said. "Instead, we came together and, as the world watched, America rose to some of her finest moments.
"As we mark this day, we must honor those who lost their life that day and since in the global war on terror. In their memory, we must remain ever-vigilant and engaged so we can preserve the American way of life and the promise that it brings."
Congressman Kingston plans to mark the day by participating in a bipartisan remembrance ceremony on the steps of the Capitol.
