Gov. Gregoire's Statement on Record Agricultural Production

Gov. Chris Gregoire issued the following statement on the significant increase in Washington's agricultural production last year:

"Today's announcement by the U.S. Department of Agriculture about Washington state's record agricultural production is great news for the state. Agriculture is an integral part of our state's history, culture, economy and exports.

"The record production is a testament to the hard work, innovation and strategic investments made by our farming and food processing families, businesses and communities. I have been and remain committed to support policies, funding and marketing opportunities that keep Washington's agriculture industry profitable and productive."
