Senate Judiciary Committee Approves Nominations of Arguello, Brimmer

Today, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee voted to approve the nominations of Christine Arguello and Philip Brimmer for appointment to the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. The nominations will now go to the full Senate for consideration, the final step in the confirmation process for federal judicial nominees.

"We have been working to move mountains to get these vacancies on the District Court in Colorado confirmed so late in the legislative calendar" said Senator Salazar. "I applaud Chairman Leahy and Ranking Member Specter for their leadership and thank them for moving these highly-qualified nominees through the confirmation process as quickly as they can. I will continue to work with my colleagues to find a way to get Ms. Arguello and Mr. Brimmer confirmed on the Senate floor before the 110th Congress adjourns."
