Can you believe it is almost August already? This summer has been flying by. It seems like only yesterday the Florida Legislature was still in session and kids were still in school.

My time has been spent these past few months travelling throughout District 15 trying to meet as many voters as possible. In the last week alone, I've been in Sebastian, Vero Beach, Kissimmee, Orlando, and all over Brevard. With only 27 days left until the primary, I will continue to travel around the District as much as possible.

Melbourne Firefighters Honor Posey

Much to my surprise, the Melbourne Firefighters approached me this past weekend at the Brevard Republican Picnic and presented me with a Certificate of Appreciation. It was such an unexpected and humbling honor.

The Melbourne Firefighters Local 1951 certificate of appreciation reads, in part: "This certificate honors the many years of services and dedication of State Representative and Senator Bill Posey; he has worked tirelessly to improve the working relationship between the State and local government. Bill Posey's efforts to improve transparence in government will improve the delivery of essential services for many years to come."

When everybody else is running out of a burning building, these brave men and women go running in. THANK YOU firefighters for all that you do!
Republican Picnic

First, I would like to congratulate the Brevard Republican Executive Committee for hosting such a great picnic on Saturday. What a fantastic turnout! And having candidates donate and cook the food was a really neat idea. Thank you to all the candidates who took part in that. All the food was excellent!!

A big part of the picnic was, of course, the straw vote. I'm proud to announce that I received the most votes for the 15th Congressional District race: Posey 301, Bergman 39, Lehoullier 6. Thank you so much to those of you who voted for me! And please don't forget to vote in the actual primary on August 26th.
Calling All Volunteers!

Only 27 more days until the primary election and we need as many volunteers as we can get! We have another walk this Saturday, this time in Kissimmee. We'll be meeting at 9:30 am at the Archie Gordon Memorial Park, Pavillion B. The park is by the BVL Library.

We also have mailers that need to be sent out, phone calls that need to be made, and yard signs that need happy homes.
