Fridays With Chris; Here to Serve You

Dear Friend,

As he noted last week, Congressman Carney has reported for active duty at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. Once again, Paul Macknosky, our District Director, and I will keep things running in our district and Washington, D.C. offices.

I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight some of the services our Washington, D.C. office provides. If you're traveling to our nation's capital, our office is happy to help you set up tours in and

Visit D.C. and let us take you on a staff-led tour of the U.S. Capitol.
around Washington, D.C. One of the best tours we can offer is a tour of the United States Capitol led by a member of our staff. The tour includes the House Gallery, the Rotunda, the Old Supreme Court Chamber, and the Crypt. Touring the Capitol will also give you the opportunity to visit our Washington, D.C. office. If you are planning to visit the Capitol Building, contact us at least a week in advance.

Our office can also help you arrange a tour of the White House. The White House is open for self-guided, public tours Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Unfortunately, tickets to the White House are not guaranteed. To increase your chances of receiving tickets, please contact us at least three months before your trip to Washington.

In addition, our office can help you set up other tours including the Pentagon, the National Archives, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and the Library of Congress. For more information, you can visit our website. To set up any of these tours please contact Sloan Giampa in our D.C. office. She can be reached at (202) 225-3731 or at Sloan.Giampa@mail.house.gov.

Sloan can also help you to obtain an American flag, including ones flown over the U.S. Capitol. Flags flown over the Capitol include personalized certificates. They make wonderful gifts for special occasions. The flags are made of nylon or cotton and are available in a variety of sizes. To order a flag, please complete our flag order form and mail it to our Washington, D.C. office. You can also contact Sloan for assistance.

Finally, Congressman Carney is dedicated to serving the people of Northeast and Central Pennsylvania. He always wants to hear from you and is determined to represent your voices in Congress. You can contact our office by calling (202) 225-3731. You can also send us an email through our website. Physical mail should be sent to:

Congressman Christopher Carney
416 Cannon House Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20515

Next week, Paul Macknosky will be filling in for Congressman Carney. Congressman Carney will return from active duty the week of September 1st. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Sincerely,

April Metwalli
Chief of Staff
