Mathern Releases Financial Report to State

Financial Goal is Exceeded.

The Mathern for Governor campaign announced that the current financial report to the North Dakota Secretary of State reflects over $100,000 collected in donations to date. "We exceeded our goal of $100,000," Mathern said, adding "this keeps us on track to build our finances for the campaign."

Mathern noted that his campaign's momentum has been building with each reporting period. If donations keep up at the current rate Mathern will be in a position to challenge his opponent's substantial resources. "If this pace of fundraising continues, we will be able to drive home the message that it's time for new leadership in North Dakota," Mathern said.

May 29 was the deadline for North Dakota candidates to file the required preprimary report for the June 10 primary. The report indicated Mathern raised $71,000 since Jan. 1 and had $82,000 on hand. Mathern announced his candidacy in August. He raised $33,000 in 2007, bringing the entire total to over $100,000.
