Congressman Joe Crowley represents what National Geographic magazine has called the most diverse area in the world. As a Member of the Committee on International Relations, and the only Democrat from New York on the Human Rights Subcommittee, Congressman Joe Crowley has fought for democracy and justice around the world.

Congressman Joe Crowley is a 100% supporter of the State of Israel; America's only true ally and the ONLY democracy in the Middle East. He has passed legislation to guarantee Israel equal treatment at the United Nations, to strengthen sanctions on the regimes of Syria, Iran and Libya, and has stood side by side with Israeli victims of terror.

Representing the second-largest community of South Asians in the world, Congressman Joe Crowley founded the Congressional Caucus on Bangladesh and is the currently the Chair of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans.

Congressman Joe Crowley has traveled to Africa to see firsthand the devastation HIV/AIDS has brought to Sub-Saharan Africa, and returned to pass $15 billion in US assistance to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Understanding that stability in our own hemisphere is an important foreign policy issue, Congressman Joe Crowley has visited Colombia to bring assistance to the Colombian people after the 1999 earthquake, and has visited the Dominican Republic to discuss trade and healthcare issues.
