BOND STATEMENT ON THE ST. JOHNS BAYOU-NEW MADRID FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT DECISION

U.S. Senator Kit Bond today issued the following statement criticizing the Department of Justice's decision not to move forward with the appeal of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia's decision on the St. John's Bayou-New Madrid Flood Control Project:

"This is nothing new for these citizens who are used to being jerked around by distant, unelected bureaucrats in their government. These brave, tireless and patient Missourians will not quit and neither will I."
