Congressman Wamp will debate energy policy in the third installment of Congress Debates, as one of eight lawmakers - four House Republicans and four House Democrats - who will discuss America's energy policy at Tulane University in New Orleans, La., on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Central time.

"The number one issue on the minds of many American families is the high cost of gas prices," said Congressman Zach Wamp. "An ‘all of the above' approach will help us lead the world on energy solutions through conservation, exploration and innovation. This debate offers the opportunity for both parties to present solutions, because to move forward we'll need bipartisan cooperation."

In addition to Congressman Wamp, participating Members of Congress on the Republican side include Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, Denny Rehberg of Montana and Fred Upton of Michigan. On the Democrat side are Earl Blumenauer of Oregon, Jay Inslee of Washington, Hilda Solis of California and Bart Stupak of Michigan. The moderator will be Jim Harris of Politico.

The House Republican Conference and the House Democratic Caucus in connection with the Congressional Institute, the Democratic Leadership Council and the Entergy-Tulane Energy Institute are hosting the third Congress Debates. The groundbreaking series of debates was launched in an effort to foster bipartisan discourse on the most important challenges facing America. The first was held in Washington, D.C., in February with a discussion focused on the economy, followed by an April dialogue in Cincinnati on health care policy.
