The Constitution clearly states Americans have the fundamental right to keep and bear arms. The framers of our Constitution purposely created the Second Amendment to ensure that Americans retain some measure of freedom to protect and defend themselves. Millions of Americans responsibly enjoy the use of firearms for recreation, collection and protection. As a sportsman, hunter and member of the NRA, I will continue to support the rights provided under the Second Amendment.
