Issue Position: The United States and Israel

Israel and the United States are important allies. Maintaining this relationship is both a moral obligation for the United States. Israel is the most stable government in the region. Israel's military and intelligence forces have served as a buffer against threats to U.S. and international security.

Continued support for Israel demonstrates to the whole world that the United States will continue to stand up for principle and is a nation that honors our commitments. The ties between our two countries are many. We both share a worldview, we both value freedom, and we both stand firmly against terrorism.

The best course of action for the future is that United States and Israel remain best friends and that we stand side-by-side in the fight against terrorism. I am steadfast in my support of Israel's survival as a free nation and a loyal ally of the United States. I will not support any effort in Congress to further diminish the land area of Israel -- not by one inch.
