MILLER AGREES WITH SECOND AMENDMENT DECISION

Congressman Jeff Miller (R-Fl-01) today issued the following statement regarding the U.S. Supreme Court decision to uphold a federal appeals court ruling that a gun ban in Washington, D.C. is unconstitutional:

"I am pleased that the Supreme Court wisely ruled that the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States is an individual and sacred right that cannot be infringed. All Americans should have the right to defend themselves and because of this ruling, the Supreme Court has made it clear that this right was indeed guaranteed by our Founding Fathers. It is my hope that this decision will send an unequivocal message to those who wish to take firearms out of the hands of law-abiding citizens."
