Issue Position

I support free and fair trade. With new economic frontiers, we can create new jobs and develop our country's economy. However, I also believe it is Congress's responsibility to carefully examine new trade agreements and determine their impact on American businesses and workers.

In past years, American industries have been lured overseas by lower wages and cheaper materials. To keep more of these jobs here in the U.S., Congress needs to help make America an attractive place to do business. This requires Congress to help struggling businesses by lowering taxes to level competition with overseas labor.

If we help business grow and invest in new products, they can better compete in the global marketplace and will be less likely to take American jobs abroad.
