Glenn Thompson: Our Representative, Our Values

Life-long Howard Township resident and Centre County Republican Chairman Glenn Thompson is a Republican candidate for the 5th Congressional District. Thompson, 48, is a 26-year veteran Susquehanna Health Rehab Services Manager, where he has touched the lives of over 10,000 patients facing life altering problems. He has served as the Centre County Republican Chairman for six years, during which he helped bring the party into the 21st century with email and a website. Glenn also served in Republican State Committee for six years, on the Bald Eagle Area School Board for six years, he was also elected in 2004 in the 5th Congressional District as a member of the Republican National Convention delegation. He is a past member of the regional Central Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board and current vice-chair of the Private Industry Council of the Central Corridor. Thompson is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Centre County and current President of the Juniata Valley Boy Scout Council.

"My life has been dedicated to public service, not for personal gain or ambition, but rather to serve those in need. My elected and appointed public service has always been volunteer even though it may have meant personal sacrifice. I am not and will not be a career politician, but rather I view serving as your Congressman as a calling to serve the needs of all residents in this district. I believe that reform is needed to return our government to that which the founders had designed and intended. As a citizen legislator I promise to advocate term limits assuring that the occupant of this remains well grounded in the community and the lives of those served.

I am confident I have more personal and professional experience than any other candidate who is in this race. I am committed to applying this experience to supporting our troops, assuring tax cuts and a strong economy, reducing the size and cost of government, aiding older adults, advocating for elder health care, advancing alternate fuels, championing for the pro-life movement and serving the citizens of our district."

Where the candidate resides in the District is not important." Glenn has proven that he would work for every citizen because he has not let tv commercials do the work for him. Glenn and his team are averaging over 260 miles a day driving. A husband of 26 years, a father of three grown boys, a volunteer firefighter, EMT and rescue technician, Glenn is just the man to lead us and represent us in Washington.
