My grandfather was an inventor, my mother worked as a chemist on the Manhattan project and I was married to one of the most prolific performers of his time. Innovation and inventions have made this country great and I highly value the need to protect this invaluable resource. Other nations, like China and Russia, are taking the works of our creators and allowing them to be stolen, depriving the creators of content of the income they have rightfully earned. Our Founding Fathers realized that the United States of America was a nation of ideas. Copyrights are constitutionally protected to ensure our country would grow and prosper. Now, more than ever, we must continue to protect the creative community from those who wish to steal their works.
