Rep. Foster Congratulates Rep. Hare for Contributions to Community

Press Release

Date: April 4, 2008
Location: Washington, DC

In a letter read Friday to attendees of the Whiteside County Community Health Clinic addition groundbreaking, Rep. Foster (IL-14) commends Rep. Hare's efforts, along with efforts from community members, in securing the necessary fund for improving health care in Whiteside County.

From the letter:
"This addition will continue to allow the health clinic do what it does best: provide great care and services for Whiteside County.

"Each room the Congressman helped create will serve a vital role for the community. From the exam room that will help improve preventative care essential to keeping that 5-year-old Rock Falls boy healthy for school, to the lab that could detect a life-threatening ailment in the elderly Prophetstown woman getting by only on her Social Security, to the charting room that improves the efficiency needed to keep costs down for all the taxpayers, Rep. Hare has shown himself to be an ally in enabling the power of medicine, and the people who seek treatment.

"As a new congressman, I see Rep. Hare as a public servant who epitomizes the dedication and leadership necessary for such achievements, and I am grateful for such a strong example. Though we represent different parts of Illinois, we share all sorts of interests, if none other than the well-being of the people of Whiteside County. But as we all know, the challenges that we continue to face know no politically drawn lines - especially challenges as widespread and complicated as affordable access to health care.

"But because Rep. Hare's guidance and support here will soon stand an addition to a clinic that will show what happens when leaders like the Congressman fight to make government work better for everyone.

"Please join me in congratulating again Rep. Hare, his staff, Beth Fiorini, her staff and all the members of the community who made this great improvement a reality."

Congressmen Foster and Hare, who both represent parts of Whiteside County, look forward to solving problems together, and continuing a strong working relationship that benefits constituents for both districts.
