Issue Position: Crime - Keeping Guns Out of the Hands of Criminals

Tens of thousands of Americans are senselessly murdered every year by criminals armed with guns. Gun violence does not discriminate; it affects rich and poor, young and old, and the innocent and guilty alike. Nor is it a red or blue state issue, but an American crisis that concerns our nation as a whole. Every person's life can be touched by the tragically extensive reach of gun violence. Far too often these crimes may have been prevented with stricter gun control regulations. As your United States Senator, you can be assured that I will do everything within my power to protect New Jersey families from senseless gun violence.
