Violence against women is a serious problem plaguing the world's women and girls.
Forms of violence can include physical, sexual, domestic, emotional, verbal, or other forms of violence. The statistics on violence are staggering, and the consequences for victims, families, and communities are harmful and lasting. The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) is one of the most significant tools for reducing violence and protecting victims. Communities must be educated, and the programs must be funded. Women's violence must be stopped.
