Udall Statement on U.S. Casualties in Iraq

Today House Armed Services Committee Member Mark Udall (D-Eldorado Springs) released the following statement on news that the American death toll in Iraq has passed 4,000.

"This is not just another statistic. Each death is a tragedy for a family, and each reminds us that our men and women in uniform are prepared to pay what Lincoln rightly called the ‘last full measure of devotion' to duty. As we grieve with their families, we must honor their commitment and work to bring their fellow soldiers safely home."
