Issue Position: Small Business

As a former small business owner, I clearly understand both the challenges and rewards of starting and running a small business. Small businesses represent an entry point into the U.S. economy, especially for women and minorities. No other country in the world provides the opportunity for those with a hard work ethic and a clear business vision to experience success like the United States. There are currently more than 23 million small businesses in America, and they create 75 percent of the nation's net new jobs and employ more than half of the nation's private sector employees. Promoting small business promotes our economy. Therefore, it is essential that we implement policies and reduce taxes to help them grow and thrive.
