Location: Unknown

Birmingham, AL (July 17, 2007) - Counterterrorism expert, author and candidate for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, Dr. Hugh Cort, participated in the signing of Operation Save America's Emancipation Proclamation in Birmingham, Alabama yesterday.

Operation Save America's Emancipation Proclamation gives unborn children their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, the unalienable rights set forth in the Declaration of Independence.

Father Frank Pavone, national director at Priests for Life, spoke at the signing. Operation Save America's director, Reverend Flip Benham also spoke at the signing. He introduced Dr. Cort as a pro-life candidate for President of the United States.

Dr. Cort asked the crowd five questions, "Do you want to pass a Pro-Life Amendment and the Federal Marriage Amendment, and get America back to God, and get His blessing, and victory over the Islamo-terrorists who are planning to destroy us? Do you want to stop Osama bin Laden's coming attack? Do you want to win the War in Iraq? Do you want to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons and starting World War III where 200 million or more people may die? Do you want to win the War on Terror?

Dr. Cort then told the crowd that he will issue an Executive Order banning abortion and gay marriage on his first day in office to bring America back to God so we can get His blessing and get victory over the Islamo-terrorists who are planning to destroy us.

Operation Save America unashamedly takes up the cause of preborn children in the name of Jesus Christ. They employ only biblical principles. Operation Save America will be in Birmingham until July 22nd.

Dr. Hugh Cort is a counterterrorism expert and author of the book "Saddam's Attacks on America." Dr. Cort travels North America speaking about terrorism and what we must do to stop it.

Dr. Cort announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination on January 21, 2005 at the National Press Club.

Dr. Cort has campaigned in Iowa, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama and Rhode Island and continues to build an active campaign organization. The campaign has volunteers and/or paid staff in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Alabama, South Carolina, Colorado, Oklahoma, California, Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Michigan and Rhode Island.
