CONGRESSMAN LOEBSACK ENCOURAGES PEOPLE TO CONTACT LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR HELP OR SHELTER INFORMATION

As Iowa families continue to cope with freezing temperatures and severe winter weather, Congressman Dave Loebsack encourages his constituents to contact their local emergency management agencies or local law enforcement for emergency services or shelter information. Congressman Loebsack is greatly concerned about the health and well being of his many constituents that are without power as this winter storm is predicted to continue throughout the day and into the evening.

"Currently, state and county officials are responding to and assessing the damage throughout the state, and the power companies are working to restore electricity but unfortunately this storm wreaked havoc on our communities and it is not safe for people to live without power or heat for a continued period of time," said Congressman Loebsack. "I encourage all of my constituents to seek help and shelter if necessary by contacting their local emergency management agency or local law enforcement for shelter information."

Residents are encouraged to call either their Local Emergency Management Agency or local law enforcement for help or information.
