Democrats' Energy Bill Would Cost Ohioans

U.S. Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-OH) on the Democrats' Energy bill, H.R. 6:

"It's disappointing that when it appeared we had an agreement that would increase mileage standards for cars and trucks, something that more and more Americans agree is the right thing to do. Instead of moving ahead with the deal on fuel efficiency standards, Democrats once again stuffed the bill with all types of unacceptable provisions that would hit Ohioans hard. Experts say those measures, like the renewable energy provisions, could actually cause an energy price hike and could end up costing Ohio workers their jobs. Rather than working together, Democrats are playing politics and consumers will end up paying the price."
