Corbin Times Tribune - Beshear Camp Stops in Corbin for Rally

With less than three weeks remaining until the Nov. 6 election, the gubernatorial candidate and his running mate Dan Mongiardo stopped at the Corbin Technology Center to speak to supporters and several local officials.

. . .

"You can't win with only one side," Mongiardo said. "You have to have everybody together … That is probably the biggest platform that Steve Beshear and I share.

"That's the only way we're going to move Kentucky out of the bottom of all the categories we should be in the top in," he said.

Beshear spoke about improving healthcare coverage, decreasing tuition costs and offering state funding to cover the "doughtnut hole" gap in Medicare D coverage for low-income residents.

But he also reiterated the need for change.

"Everybody knows after four years of scandal, after four years of corruption, that it is time for a change to put this state moving forward again," Beshear said.
