Rep. Johnson Disappointed with the Failure to Override President's Veto of S-CHIP
WASHINGTON -- Congressman Hank Johnson released the following statement following President Bush's veto of S-CHIP:
"I was cautiously optimistic that my colleagues on the other side of the aisle would support Georgia's children and vote to override the President's inexplicable veto of the S-CHIP bill. Unfortunately, that did not happen. But I will continue to push until all of our children can receive the medical care they need."
