President Bush Visits Miami - Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart Greets

President, Supports Message of Free Trade with Latin America

MIAMI—Today Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) greeted President George W. Bush at Miami International Airport alongside other members of the South Florida Congressional Delegation and accompanied him in the Presidential limousine to a speech in Downtown Miami regarding trade policy with Latin America.

"Enhancing prosperity through free trade with democracies in Latin America continues to be a priority of mine and today the President made clear his steadfast support of this important issue," said Diaz-Balart.

"President Bush is right to advocate for free trade with democracies in Latin America, especially Colombia, our strongest ally in the region. It is critical that we approve the free trade agreements with Colombia, Peru and Panama and work together with our neighbors in the region to knock down harmful trade barriers and promote democracy," said Diaz-Balart.
