U.S. Congressman Sam Graves issued the following statement regarding the announced deal on immigration:

"I believe our country is great because of legal immigration, not inspite of it. However, I will not support any form of amnesty and I will work with my colleagues to defeat this bill if it makes it to the House.

I believe that we must secure our borders. There is a legal way to enter this country and we should not reward those who haven't followed it."
