Forbes Joins Resolution Urging Administration to Enforce Immigration Laws Already on the Books
Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04) announced today he has cosponsored a resolution calling for full enforcement of all current immigration laws. Introduced by Congressman Lamar Smith (TX-21), Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, H. Res. 499 outlines 12 ways in which a lack of enforcement has led to increased illegal immigration.
"Immigration enforcement has failed not because of a lack of law, but because of a lack of will," said Forbes. "This resolution brings to light that clear lack of will in this and other Administrations and the devastating effects of not enforcing our immigration laws."
