Vitter, Alexander Announce Grant Funding for West Carroll
U.S. Sen. David Vitter and U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander announced today that West Carroll Law Enforcement District will receive a federal grant of $21,000 to purchase new equipment.
"Patrol cars are one of the most basic needs of an effective police force," said Vitter. "These news cars will help the West Carroll police officers protect their citizens and community."
"I am pleased that West Carroll Parish has obtained this much-needed funding that will enable local law enforcement officials to continue serving and protecting the people of this area," Alexander said.
This grant will be used to purchase two new patrol cars. The grant is provided under the Community Facilities Grant Program at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development.
