FEENEY'S IMMIGRATION TERRIBLE TOP TEN COUNTDOWN - Number 3: Invites Fraud

U.S. Rep. Tom Feeney (R-Oviedo) today announced the eighth of ten reasons why every hardworking taxpayer should oppose this immigration amnesty sellout.

"Amnesty, offered in the form of this Z Visa, creates a false sense of security considering the huge loophole in the verification provision. We should learn from the mistakes of the 1986 amnesty bill that resulted in rampant fraud.

"In a post 9/11 environment, it is critical that we know who is here and who is playing by the rules," said Feeney.

Z Visas can be simply acquired with a non-relative's sworn affidavit and one other non-secure, easily forged document (e.g. work history, bank records, etc.). This is a huge loophole in the verification provisions for determining who was present in the country illegally before Jan. 1, 2007.
