WALBERG HOSTS FIRST MEETING BETWEEN SEVENTH DISTRICT COUNTY ADMINISTRATORS AND COUNTY COMMISSION CHAIRS

U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg (R-MI) hosted the first meeting of Michigan's 7th Congressional District County Administrators and County Commission Chairs this afternoon at the Battle Creek Chamber of Commerce Building.

"It was a great privilege to meet with county leaders from across the Seventh District and learn more about how we can work together for the betterment of the families and communities of this region," Walberg said.
"I appreciated the input of these county officials on how I can best serve the counties of south-central Michigan and look forward to working with them in the future."

BACKGROUND:

- The meeting involved attendees getting acquainted, discussing projects currently in progress in each county, brainstorming about possible future, individual county projects and sharing cost-saving measures.

- Goals for the meeting included focusing on a priority project in each county to be jointly worked on and exploring the possibility of a project that is important to every county within the district.

- Michigan's 7th Congressional District includes Branch, Eaton, Hillsdale, Jackson and Lenawee counties and parts of Calhoun and Washtenaw counties.
