SENATOR COLLINS' STATEMENT ON NOMINATION OF MAINE-NATIVE TO BECOME AMBASSADOR TO VENEZUELA

Senator Susan Collins released this statement following the announcement that the President intends to nominate Patrick D. Duddy to be U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Venezuela.

"I am pleased that the President has said that he intends to nominate Bangor native Patrick Duddy as the next U.S. Ambassador to Venezuela. His 25 years of experience in Latin America will help make him an effective representative for the Administration, the people of the United States, and the great State of Maine."
