WALBERG CO-SPONSORS LEGISLATION SUPPORTING STUDENTS, TEACHERS, CIVIC-MINDED BUSINESSES

U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg (R-MI7) today announced he has co-sponsored the National Science Education Tax Incentive for Business Act (H.R. 37), a measure introduced by Rep. Vernon Ehlers (MI-03).

Congressman Walberg also has co-sponsored the National Science Education Tax Incentive for Teachers Act of 2007 (H.R. 36), also introduced by Rep. Ehlers.

"These important bills will provide valuable training and necessary supplies for the hard-working teachers in south-central Michigan and across our country," Walberg said. "Providing civic-minded businesses the opportunity to receive tax credits for supporting local schools will encourage innovation in our classrooms and foster future community stewardship of education."
