Mack Statement on President Bush's Plan for Iraq
Congressman Connie Mack (FL-14) issued the following statement this evening following President Bush's speech to the nation regarding the war in Iraq.
Mack said:
"The American people want to win the war in Iraq, and President Bush thinks increasing the number of troops will help achieve this goal.
"Although I'm inclined to support the President at this time, it will take more than just an increase in troop strength alone to succeed. While the President's plan also appears to include modifications to his Iraq strategy, we need to see real results soon."
