[Oct 20] Early Voting

Dear Friends,

Early voting begins October 23rd across the state of Texas. It's easy to do, and it's a wonderful feature in our state, allowing you to vote at your convenience and giving more people the chance to participate in the democratic process. So if you have time constraints, or just want to skip those long Election Day lines, early voting is an idea to consider.

If you're interested in casting your ballot early, all you have to do is show up at a designated polling place. For a list of those in your county, head to http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/earlyvote.shtml There's also an added feature for voters that have trouble walking or standing for long periods called curbside voting, where you don't even have to get out of your car to vote. To be a curbside voter, all you have to do is call your polling place and let them know when you're coming. When you get there, they'll bring your ballot right to your car.

You can also cast an early ballot by mail, provided you're either going to be away on Election Day, are sick or disabled, or are 65 or over.

For more information on all types of early voting and how to apply for a ballot by mail visit http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/pamphlets/earlyvote.shtml

Early voting ends November 3rd.

God Bless and I'm asking for your vote,

Henry
