Issue: The 2nd Amendment

The 2nd Amendment

As a gun owner, I am committed to ensuring that the federal government never infringe on the rights of law-abiding citizens to bear arms. I will not stand by and allow the Democratic agenda of Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi and Ted Kennedy to take away our right to bear arms.

More specifically:

- I support legislation to increase concealed to carry permits.

- I will strongly oppose any effort to require the mandatory purchase of trigger locks or gun safes.

- I will strongly oppose any effort to tighten restrictions on gun sales between private citizens.

- I will strongly oppose any effort to require citizens to register all their firearms with the federal government.

- I will strongly oppose any legislation aimed at punishing gun manufacturers or gun dealers from crimes they did not commit. Mainly, I will oppose allowing these parties to be held liable for crimes committed by people who use the gun they sold or manufactured.
