Statement from Congresswoman Linda Sánchez on Fifth Anniversary of September 11 Attacks

Congresswoman Linda Sánchez issued the following statement on the 5th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.

"Five years ago, 3,000 people lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. This tragic anniversary provides us an opportunity to reflect on those we lost and send our solace to their families, for whom this day remains especially painful.

"To honor their legacy - the constant vigilance to keep our families and communities safe from terrorism - let's commit ourselves to fully implementing the 9/11 Commission recommendations to better secure our homeland."
