Tubbs Jones, Clyburn Discuss Report on New Direction for Ohio During Press Conference

Cleveland, OH - Today, Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones joined Rep. James E. Clyburn (D-SC) Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus and the Faith Working Group and area Democratic elected officials during a press conference to release a release a report on A New Direction for Ohio.

The report outlines the Democrats' plan for a New Direction in Ohio across a series of critical issues: security, economy, health care, energy, college education and retirement security.

"Under the Bush Administration, Ohioans have seen the loss of thousands of manufacturing jobs while health insurance, college tuition and gas price continue to skyrocket and there is continued uncertainty about the war in Iraq," stated Rep. Tubbs Jones. "Today, I am pleased to join Congressman Clyburn in releasing this report which highlights the issues we are facing here in Ohio and more importantly, outlines how Democrats plan to address these problems and move this country in a new and positive direction."
